The Modern Christmas Story

Once upon a time in the USA, in Boston there was a hotel called The Tipton and here lived the most mischievous boys you could ever dream of. It was Christmas Eve and the hotel was packed full of people, the roads were blocked; everyone was planning a luxury holiday. However this was not an option. 

Mr Moseby – the hotel manager – was run off his feet now with the twins, Zack and Cody; staying at home with their divorced Mom and Dad Mr Moseby’s life was hell. As everyone got comfy in the lobby as all the rooms were booked a young couple walked into the hotel.  The woman had brown layered hair down to her shoulder and her bonny face was twinkling in the Christmas tree lights and her husband had a short black hair cut like a square. The lady was pregnant and due any day now. As Mr Moseby had promised that they were welcome to sleep in the spa on the 5th floor they headed for the elevator. As the young girl got in the man rushed out to fetch the bags, however Zack and Cody had just entered the elevator the pregnant women was in. Just before the man could get in the elevator the doors shut and they were trapped.

“Aaaarrrrrhhhhh, I think my water has broke” said the girl with a scream.
“Oh come on Zack we have to shout for help “Cody said looking at the woman “and quick”

Just as the elevator was fixed Zack and Cody rushed out as if they had seen a ghost. Mr Moseby called Carey – Zack and Cody’s Mom – and Stuart – their Dad – to help. As they helped the woman... Suddenly there was a baby’s scream and there was Mr Moseby holding the child that was born on Christmas Eve.

“Hey, think a young couple searching for a place to stay but there is no room and a child is born” realised Cody. “What a coincidence!” breathed Zack still scared from what had happened in the elevator.

So that is what happened in the Tipton hotel on Christmas Eve. Miracles can happen in so many ways in which we can not understand.
