Extension Tasks

If you feel you are well on the way to completing your project and want to aim for the higher marks, have a go the following suggestions:

Extension task 1

Evaluate the suitability of all of the information sources that you have used.  Explain what information you obtained for them and how you decided whether the information was useful.  Explain how information you found from this source led you to check out another, different source. Evaluate the two different information sources and explain which one was more suitable and why.(level 7)  Explain how you were sure about the reliability, accuracy and relevance of each of these sources.  How were you sure that they were unbiased?

Extension task 2

Create some audio recordings which could be added to the slides. These could be used by anyone with a visual impairment to understand your presentation

Extension task 3

Create parallel pathways by using links in your presentation. To do this you would create one set of slides suitable for an adult audience and one set of slides suitable for an audience of students. Then from the home page you would provide viewers with a choice as to which pathway they wished to follow

Extension task 4

If you include statements from people you could take their photograph (with their permission) and include it next to the statement

Extension task 5

If you have time you could do a short video interview with somebody and include this as part of your presentation
