Summer holiday destinations task

Hold a quick survey amongst the students in your class to find out where they will be going for their summer holidays.

Rank the destinations in order of popularity.

Put students into groups of 3 or 4.

Give each group a destination (you could put a person going to that destination in the group).

Task

The group's task is to produce a travel portfolio for their destination. This should include things like:

- Places of interest to visit

- Local customs

- Local food specialities

- Selection of useful phrases (if foreign language spoken there) - use an online language translator

- Graph to show average temperature and weather conditions during the summer

- Information about any vaccinations needed, flight times, ticket costs
