12. Features available: Columns

columnsText can be formatted into columns.

This can add visual interest and help to break up the text into smaller chunks.

Columns are easy to set up. The option can either be set up before writing any text or it can be applied to paragraphs of text once completed.

Any number of columns can be added from two upwards. However, the more columns that are applied, the smaller the amount of space available in each column for text. Two or three columns is normally an ideal amount for an A4 page.

columnsThe columns can all be of equal size or they can be set to be different sizes. For example the first column can be set to be wider than the other two columns on a three column page.

Columns can be applied to the whole document or to just a small section of text within the document.
