The Halloween school prospectus

When new students are thinking about coming to your school, they are usually given a school prospectus.

This prospectus is often a glossy, high quality brochure filled with pictures of happy, perfectly dressed students. There will be many pages of information about how well the school is doing and all of the things on offer such as extra curricular activities.

The prospectus is really made for the parents. It doesn't answer the kind of questions that new students are really interested in such as:

  • 'When do we learn spells?'
  • 'Can we dissect toads?'
  • 'Do teachers use broomsticks?'
  • 'Will I get my own black cat?'
  • 'Can I use the cauldron?'

Your Task

Choose a suitable piece of software and produce an 'alternative prospectus' for the new students who are about to start at

The School for Wizards and Witches

Think about the kinds of questions that you think they would really want answered before they arrive at the school.

Choose an appropriate theme, colours, images and font styles.

Think carefully about your layout, images, fonts and colours.
