2. Purpose of change management

One thing is certain, is that all organisations change over time, if only due to staff turnover.

Some organisations change very slowly (funeral directors do not need to change their operations very often) whilst others have to change rapidly in order to adapt to their business environment (electronic product companies).

 

The purpose of change management is to allow for an orderly transition from the original situation to the new one.

Change management is a process that involves not only ICT systems but people, equipment, space and business processes as well.
