5. Programmer
The programmers are the people who write the code for the new system.
They follow the design specification document and from this they create the files, forms, data structure, screen layouts etc.
They will test their work as they go along and correct any bugs found before retesting it.
Programmers often work on just a section of the system. They will need to ensure that their section works with other parts which are being developed by other programmers.
The programmers are also responsible for writing the technical documentation that will be used in the maintenance stage of the SLC.
