Marquee tool
A common graphic or illustration selection tool.
Many graphic and illustration application have tools that allow you to select certain parts of the open file for further processing. These selection tools are called 'marquees'. For example Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Illustrator have marquee tools.
Some marquee tools allow you to select square or rectangular shapes whilst others allow you to select ellipses and circles.
