Draft

This is the unfinished / incomplete version of a piece of work.

For example there may be several 'drafts' of a document.

Drafts are produced, so people can review, make additions or changes to it. Eventually a 'Final Draft' is produced and once that is approved by the appropriate person, it become the actual published document.
