Data Bus
An essential hardware sub-system within a computer.
The purpose of the data bus is to carry data from one part of the computer to another. For example a data bus is used to move data between RAM and the CPU.
There are also data busses within the CPU chip itself to transport data between sub-systems.
Physically the data bus consists of a group of tracks \ wires \ conductors. An 8 bit bus has eight parallel tracks, a 32 bit bus has 32 such tracks or conductors.
