Data Entry Form

A data entry form is often used to input data, which has previously been collected, into a database.

There are some common controls within a data entry form that include:

> Text Box : Allows a single text line to be entered
> Text Area: Allows multiple lines of text to be entered
> List Box: Allows you to pick one or more items from a list
> Combo Box: Allow you to pick a single item from a list
> Radio button: Always in a group of at least two, but often more. radio buttons allow you to make a single selection from a number of options.
> Check box: A small rectangular box that allows you to select an option.
> Submit Button: Allows you to send the data. Often some 'validation' checks are made before sending in order to make sure the data format is valid and within range.
