Troll

A social network / forum / public discussion term.

Most people like to exchange views and comments with like-minded people using the many different public forums that are available. Many discussions take the form of a 'thread' where one person posts, then another add to it and so on.

However, there are some people that nastily enjoy causing anger and discord within a thread. They deliberately post provocative statements to cause as much mayhem as they can.

Such a person is called a 'troll'.
