Secondary Storage

Secondary storage is a form of non-volatile memory, meaning the data is retained even when the power is switched off.

Data and programs that are not running on a CPU are stored in secondary storage.

Hard disks, DVD and magnetic tape are examples of secondary storage.

Sometime secondary storage is also called auxiliary storage
