Electronic commerce has grown exponentially year-on-year.  Over 98% of businesses in the UK have access to the Internet and the number making use of electronic commerce is rising rapidly.

This section looks at the Electronic Communications Act which was passed to encourage and protect the growth in electronic communications and ecommerce.
