1. Introduction

The most basic kind of presentation you can have is a single slide shown on screen for the entire time. However, most presentations involve more than one slide.

Moving from one slide to another is called a 'slide transition'. This may involve a straightforward switch from one being viewed to the other or it may be a more fancy transition such as one fading slide into the other.

But whatever kind of transition is chosen, it must be triggered to happen in some way.

There are two methods of doing this.

• An automatic method.
