Webquests

A webquest is a research activity where students are given a set of questions and they use the internet to search for the answers.

The aim of webquests are to familiarise students with research techniques, using the internet effectively, assessing validity of information and learning a little bit extra about the topic of the web quest.

Each WebQuest is a self contained learning experience designed to encourage pupils to reconstruct knowledge, thus learning more effectively.

There are many sites which have ready made webquests. Some have an educational focus, some are just a bit of fun. Try the two suggestions below and then have a look at some of the ones available on the internet for yourself.
