| I think that we should have the freedom we need. not micro-chip us like dogs! its a baisic human right .we may be children but the law applies 2 us 2!
|
| x.x.just.me.x.x |
| I think that that is a very bad idea because pupils don't want to feel that they are being watched all the time.
|
| Gracie |
| i think its not a good idea because well why should we get followed i mean next thing uno there will be chips in our necks
|
| your mother |
| this is really depressing i dont like the idea that people are constantly watching what im doing all the time
|
| im not emo |
| this is a stupid idea i dont agree on this at all, it will invade our privacy and they will be able to listen in with all our conversations... there will be no such thing as secrets anymore
|
| craggy |
| id hate to have that on me coz then id have no privercy and it would be well bad
|
| tash....x |
| i don't think it's a good idea - the microphones are expensive and they can be damaged easily. it is a complete invasion of privacy so NO! NOT A GOOD IDEA!
|
| K |
| I hope everyone who voted 'for' was being sarcastic - we're all ready prisoners in school, now we're being tracked?!?
|
| onFyre |
| It's a bad idea. Sure, the thing could help ensure safety and put a weight off the global parents' heads, but what would happen if the jumper was lost, or if a pedophile/other got ahold of it? Not to mention the implications if collected data was lost, like seems to have been happening recently (Inland Revenue lost about 2,000,000 people's records in the last few months). It's sensitive information and we can't trust it to not get misplaced.
|
| Inland Revenue lost about 2,000,000 people's records in the last few months |
| wayy over protective! we don't need 2 b tagged aswell. if you run away from school, it's your problem nt learning anything. the security needs 2 b tuffer. it an all nw low aince hmwrk!
|
| only.x.me.xoxo |
| This is not a good idea - only for the people who play truant often or otherwise it is an invasion of privacy
|
| Dan. |
| i think its a rubbish idea coz wen ya put in it the wash it will get wet nd ya dnt want people watching ur every move !!!!!!!!
|
| natalie pr n b |
| Look at the documents gone missing recently, drivers etc, Think these chips will be safer? i dont think so, Bad idea
|
| Mat J |
| We of Newland School For Girls in Hull think that this is an obscene idea as it invades pupils privacy and rights. There should be more trust in parents and teachers as not all children are naughty and twag. A comment has been posted previously mentioning the fact that only the children that do truant would be bothered about this happening, but punishing children that don't have bad behaviour is wrong.
|
| Steph and Alix Of Year 11, Newland School For Girls |
| This is a rediculous idea, you are going to get many kids who will just cut their "tag" out and hide it in another kids pocket. it is a waste of time, money and effort when registers work just as well, as another person said, think about african people living in slums. teach the kids and help the kids that want to learn, that want a future rather than wasting the time on kids who wish to ruin their own lives. although it seems an effective idea, it just isnt worth it.
|
| Daniel Vernon |
| This is a waste of time. People will just take the chips out of their uniform if they know that it tracks them. Children should have some privacy.
|
| olivipop = |
| I think its wrong...because its such a waste of HUGE amounts of money. and pupils dont agree with it. nor do i. and theres going to be pupils who will atleast try and trick the system...
|
| IronSavior |
| this is a very bad idea i have nothing to hide i attend all my lessons but still its a bad idea if yuor put into this case either give it to some one in the street to avoid suspician or give it an electric charge or discharge it in a way that dosent damege it as not to waste money and be recycled
|
| kyro of west hill school |
| Psh. Don't they consider what could happen if this technology isn't handled carefully? Who knows who could end up tracking who. Besides, there's always going to be those who trick the system.
|
| mrs russell brand. |
| This is a waste of technology! Work on feeding the africans or something else worthwhile. Don't waste time and money finding kids who don't want to learn and forcing them to go to school. Concentrate on teaching those who do.
|
| frozen apples! |
| No. Is there any privacy any more? Every where I go, I'm being watched, and I don't even know who's watching me, how or where. Besides, once they start, they'll proberly follow you when you're at home. Is that thew life you want to live? -No!
|
| Willkill12 |
| I would hate it because I d0o not like people watching me!!!!!!?!!!!!!!?!?!?
|
| Defnut609 |
| THis is a silly idea because you are interferring with peoples lifes and messing with peoples heads. You no what is write. Be the better person
|
| anon????? |
| I think its a really, really silly idea, all the students having no privacy when only a few students need extra watching!
|
| STARDUST |
| i hate it. why should teachers be able to perv on my social life. school is for listening to my ipod not being stalked by teachers
MAYTE!
|
| fanny bash 3000 |
| This is a really stupid idea because they are invading people's privacy. Teachers and parents will think it is a brilliant idea but it is not because they do not know how the kids feel about it. IT'S CRAZY!!!!!!!
|
| hi peeps |
| This is a bit weird because it is going too far and a chip in your school uniform makes you feel like you have no privacy.
|
| Anon. |
| i think its a really bad idea because techers willl use it to c wat u do at break and lunch and sum people have a phobia of being watched iv gt an idea y dnt we put chips on thm
|
| lds boi |
| its a really bad idea because sum teachers might use it just to see were ur goin at break an stuff and wats the point we need privacy
|
| lds boi |
| woop:(*)i think that its good that the teachers want to keep control, but not so good how they want to go about it. Putting micro chips in blazers is just going over the top and i think that it shows what lack of control schools have over their pupils these days.woop:(*)

| I understand why the school would want to carry this out and it is already being practiced in China.
I have already heard about this before it came on the news about some school in China going to practice it but i disagree with this because if schools and government are already thinking like this now breaching our privacy and maybe they would insert cameras in our bodies to see what we do!!!
Anyway the only reason im botherin to write this is because i got ict lesson right now doin cw and we have to revise buh im gettin bored of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lolo
|
| xxfffxx |
| You shouldnt take advantage of improved technology like that. Its ridiculous
|
| Harry |
| I Think this is a bad idea, because you shouldnt have to feel that you are being watched all the time. Teachers are ment to trust students.
|
| o\\*Vikki*//o |
| I think that it is propa rediculas schools are jst gettin worse n worse with rubbish like that jst we are only at school to learn were not in jail we r treated like were bad ppl
|
| gravity |
| That is so unfair they could track you wherever you go its just wrong i wouldn't let them do that to me lol hi
|
| lolli |
| Today it's little chips in to keep your children safe, tomorrow it's identy cards, and soon we will live in a totally watched country, where privacy will be a forgotten concept and where the government will have full knowledge of where you are and what you are doing, soon they will be able to ban religion, homosexuality, politicaly minded people and then of course every one (depending on country) that isn't from that country.
Small things today, Big things tomorrow, Anarchy Forever.
|
| depending on country |
| I think it's a bad Idea, personally. Students are people too and they have a right to have privacy.
|
| Elliot Neal |
| I don't think this is a good idea because it is invading pupils privacy to much! I understand it is important for parents to know if a child hasn't arrived at school bt there are better ways of doing this. I think lots of pupils will be aganst this. What if a microchip wasnt sown in properly and it fell out, then if somebody found it couldn't it be dangerous if it fell into the wrong hands. I am against it
|
| jazzy |
| I think it is terribly bad
our privacy has turned to shambles
we live in a demcratic society where big brother is an evreyday tradition
i mean watching it on T.V is fine because they choose to be watched but some people may not like it because they are constantly being watched
|
| posh boy 25 |
| i think it is a stupid idea because you dont need to watch us all the time. and it will make the students feel uncomfortable.
|
| chilli cona carne |
| i think that this is a bad idea because it will make the student feel uncomfidable and nervous about what and how they do thing, it will stress the students out and it will not help them learn!!
|
| gorgeous-georgous |
| I think this is a bad idea because students may feel uncomfortable with people watching them constantly. I also feel that there are other ways for teachers to find out inforamtion such as looking at the register. On the other hand i feel that even if they attempt this students could put there blazer ect some where else and the student wont be there this could make the parents worried when the student is actually safe some where else.
|
| Babii bluu eyes_x |
| This idea is rubbish because it is an invasion of privacy and some teachers might use it to track students once school is over.
|
| .X.Leah.X. xXxXx |
| I fink its a bad idea because innocent kids shouldnt have to be watched all the time, they should feel safe in school wivout having a chip to watch their every step! xxx

| that sukz thats gonan make it worse we will be taken em out and breakin them!!!(waste of money!)
and be mor of a reason to skip(too c if it realy workz)
|
| too c if it realy workz |
| I strongly disagree! This idea is a pathetic breach of our personal security. The Government has corrupted our privacy for too long and by too much already. Personally, I believe that if you try to introduce this system into our modern schools, there will be a massive revolution of striking and resignations. I will myself not take part in such a breach of our personal privacy, and I am sure thousands alongside me will join me. I warn you this now, If you try to bring this system into action I shall revolt against it! The people of today need freedom, and I for one am prepared to fight for it!
|
| the guy with no life |
| some people dont like to be watched all the time and you dont know who could be watching you. And it is not giving us privacy.

| its hurendous, people are constanly watching your every movelike going to the toilet or getting dressed.sp i think it should not be on television

| i think that it is a very bad idea because pepole ae getting to ae files and sould have some privacy
|
| frann*7a.1 |
| i think it is getting in to peolpls personal files and is a invadions in to peoples privacy it is tooooo invadesions
i think people have a right to privacy because teachers all ready have the right to give children detentions ;;*

| I think they shouldnt do this !!!! no !invading personal space. it is wrong and it sould not be done it will be a waste of money the kids would take it of a stand on the. end of micro chip
|
| Tom Raughter |
| eeeeewwwww is it a camera? if ts a camera then wot if ur doin a pee? mingin! if its just like a tracking device then dats ok i suppose, but what if they trach you down and ur at home yeah but gettin dressed????? aaaaaahhhh now thats a thought!!

| //:.:.:.-_**Roisin**_::.:.:.:.\\ |
| i think that students privacy is not open to any teachers because it is not nessasary to go into students privacy.
|
| kieran munnelly 7li |
| I disagree with the way of the in which the Government isnt helping the people out. This issuse needs to be solved as my best friend of Jamie Harding said, "We need our freedom" and from this comment we do. As a teenager we need our space, and our personal space. We dont need people to watch over us all the time, being a teenager I have the help and protection that I need.

Haha, nice grammar! No wonder you think such a stupid opinion! Ahahah!!!
Anyway, I think the chips are a good idea!!!
|
| Cheb |
| Well, I don't think this is such a good idea, as this one time we were on the beach when me and Ed were meant to be in Math class, and we didn't even get caught. But if we had, like, some weird chips installed in our brains, we'd all be like, robots or something dude!!!
|
| Surfer Dude |
| fINK ITS ALL STUPID AND THIS IS JUST ANOTHER WAY FOR TEACHERS TO SEE WHERE YOU ARE.
|
| //-Kayla T:: |
| I think that this is an waste of money and a waste of electricty. The schools could be using the money on other things not on the micro-chips. In our school we just check on the brom com to see if some one is at school and if their not then their parents get a text. Our method is so much better that theirs ands its saves money and electricty. Next thimg you know they'll be putting mini microphones on our jumpers.
|
| Sarah Bonnell |
| stupid idea-but hey we are already being watched evryday
|

| I Believe this is another attempt to try to breach our privacy. Kids should be able to go wherever they want, whenever they want. Who on earth is going to kidnap us anyway???

| i don't think it's a good idea because the microphones will be expensive and can get damaged easily. it is a complete invasion of privacy and what about when pupils uniforms go in the wash??? what happens then???

| It's Not Really A Normal Thing To Do. Why Would You Want To Do That. People Should Be Allowed To Go Wherever They Want When They Want And Shouldn't Be Watched All The Time!
|

| i fink it is a bad idea because you can just ring their house to see if they are sick if they are not at school and the microphones can get damaged
|
| Jess : |
| Its wrong because what if youre ill or have to go to the doctors or a funeral or family problems. Schools ok an i dont no why people wagg it an it is like someone is stalking you wen you need privacy in life. School are just over protected so... they all need to take a chill pill....x

|
| KiRBYCONDA; 999 |
| i think its a bad idea but i agree with wez c that would be alot more practical unless the teachers have moved the rooms around which happens alot at my school
|

| This is a ridiculous waste of money and equipment. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the similar sort of tracking chips placed on certain released criminals?
A waste of money, time, and really, schools shouldn't have such an authority over pupils. Students are there to learn, but this sounds like a prison sentence.
Blazers don't last forever as well, many people wear them out or lose them.
Tracking chips on students. I've never heard such rubbish in my life, and I've seen Labour and Tories have verbal-brawls.
|
| P |
| This is yet another intrusive, expensive, impractical and illiberal idea, and it seems to me to be an confession of incompetence on the part of the authorities that the only way they can think to track wayward students is with hi-tech equipment. But it'll happen anyway-just like the ID card scheme for adults.
|
| search for the no 2 id campaign for more information |
| this is a horrendice idea its like being spied on 247 i would hate it besides people woulld just remove them also it definatly would not reduse truency as people would figgure out ways to fool them this idea sucks big time.

| I think its a bad idea. Why do we need micro-chips when we have registers. This is kind of a waste of time if we have a register
|
| Stefzors |
| I think it sounds good to keep kids safe in school, but it also means that the kids may feel that they don't want their parents and teachers knowinh where they are at all times. Also, won't this be another mechanical machine, which means polluting the earth!!

| This is a total outrage! This is most definately a step too far. It is a complete breach of our privacy. Next the government will be putting chips in our brain. Our countries turning into a massive big brother. I am going to go and cry now!
|
| Mike Hunt Is Legend! |
| I think it is going a bit too afr to microchip students. It is an interesting scheme but there are many things that could go wrong. For the money it would cost I don't think it is worth it.
|
| Jalex Interacive |
| It's an invasion of privacy.
If teachers need to know where students are, they look for them, invading privacy just for the location of a student is unjust, and pretty much morally wrong =l
|
| Assar Kzdwarfsun |
| i thinnk that this is an invasion of privacy, all im trying to say is that this sort of thing is good in a way but overall it has such a bad image, this will show thaat the school is not a safe place to even go to and would have to go this far just to find out about the students were either present or absent in fact i think that its already way over the fence for having such an idea of trying to have a great technology go to waste on such a petty thing like that. it makes it feels like you're being watched or stalked the whole time....it just aint right
|
| hello |
| what would happen if you left your blazer on the bus or in the cloakroom? teachers might think that you hadn't come to school or hadn't gone to lessons and then raise an alarm when actually you were there all the time.
|
| Emmz |
| I don't like the idea of this. I know that it is important for paretnts and teachers to no where we are but we should be trusted to go to lessons and not bunk off. I would feel like I was being monitored all the time and i might have a good reason why I was late to a lesson.
