Social Effects of ICT Lesson Ideas

Worksheet 1

This task asks students to create a PPT presentation about the social effects of ICT.

They can undertake their own research by using some of the materials on this site or by searching the Internet, using textbooks or newspapers.

Students could be put into groups and allocated one of the different topics each. They could present their findings to the rest of the class the following week.

Worksheet 2

This worksheet asks students to research recent news stories about the effects of ict on society which have been reported on in the news.

Students are asked to read at least three current news stories, answer a set of questions and then report their findings back to the class.

Useful to ensure that students get an idea of the use of ict in society in a real life context

Worksheet 3

This worksheet asks students to read a recent news article on how the growth in CCTV cameras and monitoring could be invading our privacy.

They are then asked to answer a set of questions.
