8. Common features of graphics software

Some of the most common features that you are likely to use regularly could be:

Cropping

 Part of the image is cut out or removed to leave you with just the part of the graphic required.

Resizing

Images can be made either larger or smaller.

Rotating

 Images can be rotated by an angle either clockwise or anti-clockwise.

Stretching

This makes the image either taller/shorter or wider/narrower.  This usually results in a distorted image.

Flipping and/or Mirror Image

This flips an image either horizontally or vertically to show a mirror image.
