1. Introduction

You are also now familiar with many of the main parts of a computer such as input devices, output devices, memory and storage devices. You should feel confident at being able to determine which device would be the most appropriate to use in a variety of situations.

You now need to learn about probably the most important part of the computer, its brain or 'Central Processing Unit' (CPU).

After learning about the CPU you will be introduced to some of the factors that impact upon a computer's performance.
