Word processing terms This task provides students with a set of word processing terms and a definition. They must match up the correct word to the definition.
Fill in the gaps Students are given a piece of text and have to fill in the gaps with the correct words. A useful way of quickly checking understanding and also a permenant revision aid.
Designing for different audiences - Friendship poem task This task asks students to format a poem for a young male child, a female teenage friend and an adult. Students are then asked to think about the different techniques they used for different audiences and explain why they were suitable Students should download the poem to their own area. The task should be printed out for students to work from.
Write a business letter This task provides students with an opportunity to learn how to set out a formal business letter. They are given a scenario - the proposed building of a new airport - and asked to write a letter to the Prime Minister to express their concerns.
