Dictionary TaskStudents are asked to compile a dictionary of ICT terms. The terms given can be changed to match projects which they are currently working on. |

Sources of InformationStudents are asked to think about the different resources which they can use to find information. They are asked to list the advantages and disadvantages of each resource. If students are doing this task by hand, you may wish to make the table rows larger to enable them to write more into each section.

Design a theme park rideStudents are asked to investigate theme park rides and then design their own. If no computers are available, this part could be missed out. The key to this exercise is for them to consider where the sensors might be on the ride and what type of sensors would be suitable.

Invent your own computer gameStudents are asked to think about designing a new computer game. They are given a template to help them organise their thoughts and ideas.

Find the ICT termStudents are asked to use the online glossary at teach-ict. They randomly choose 10 descriptions for words contained in the glossary. Once they have done this, they give their definitions to their partner who has to try to identify the ICT term. |
