Rhys created this traffic light tool and has used it in his own lessons, helping him to achieve 'outstanding' grades when his lessons have been observed.

How it works:

It is a standalone .exe file which you can place on your shared area and launch it to students' computer using your classroom management tool.

Rhys suggests asking students to minimise the file until they are told to use it. When he is ready to check progress he places his teacher PC into thumbnail view so that he can see all of his students' screens at once. He then asks students to give either a traffic light colour or a rating from 1-10.

He then print screens the results and keeps them for his records. He is then able to offer assistance to students who have indicated red or yellow or a low score.
