This is a superb idea to use at the start of an introduction to the topic 'data, information and knowledge'

The PPT slide shows a shot of the surface of Mars taken from one of the NASA rovers. John says he usually starts with this by asking the students if they know where it is. This emphasises the point that without a context the image is pretty meaningless
