KS3 Homework book

Students download spreadsheet and complete the initial self assessment. Each week they then provide a written comment to evidence a key skill competency.  The more they learn the more they can fill in. 

Validation and simple coding provides functionality; preventing homework date cheats and conflicts of data happening.

You access, monitor and make comments according to your network set up

With 120 key skill competencies there are enough homework tasks to see you and your department through the whole Key Stage 3

Note, indicators are levels, you may wish to amend the code as you see fit.

Don't forget to add a password before students upload

Questionnaire template

It is always nice to work with data collected within the school rather than using fictitious data sets than have little meaning to your pupils

Therefore I have included a simple solution for collating pupil information in an Access database 

The system uses a simple Access database, a single .html form and a .php page to save the information to the database.  All you are required to do is upload onto your sever and point users in its direction 

The questionnaire has been set up as a template and you will need to edit accordingly, therefore scripts have been commented appropriately so you can customise it for your own requirements 

The database again can be edited to suit your needs; however any changes to field names in must be reflected in the save.php script 

The system can be used to collect whole school information.  We have used the system to collection information about life styles, fitness, computer access and bullying.   

Finally, it is up to you how you set up to questionnaire and process the database, but in most instances name, form and userid will need to be omitted if you give pupils access to the database once it has been populated

Random name picker

This Excel tool allows you to enter your classes' names and at the press of a button, choose a name at random. Useful when picking a student to answer a question or allocating students to groups.
