Year 8 - Christmas Card Task

This type of task is always a useful standby for that final lesson just before the end of term. It will encourage students to develop their skills using a DTP package whilst allowing them a little bit of fun during the final lesson of term.

Year 8 - Anti-Social Behaviour Task

A comprehensive, stand-alone task asks that students design a folding brochure on anti-social behaviour.

This kind of task is excellent to encourage the development of skills in a DTP package whilst at the same time researching a topic in which students should have a level of awareness.

Year 9 Logo Design Task

A comprehensive, stand-alone task that can be used to encourage students to think about the choices they need to make when designing a logo.

There is a detailed planning sheet with a wide range of describing words that should make students consider audience and purpose. There are also a number of questions that students need to consider before they finalise their design.

GCSE Resources
GCSE Input Devices task sheet

This task sheet asks students to create a presentation or document covering the main input devices.

What is really good about this task is that it asks students to think about the price of the device, the speed of data retrieval and the quality - aspects which are often overlooked by students

Parts of a computer quiz

This is an interactive multiple choice quiz which provides students with an opportunity to quickly test their knowledge.

As the structure has already been set up for you it would be relatively simple to replace the current questions with your own.
