Applying for a job

This excellent task gives students the opportunity to practice how they could apply for a job that they have seen advertised (see above task).

They write a covering letter and an accompanying CV.

As well as improving their word processing skills, this task gives students the opportunity to consider how to create these two important documents - a very useful skill seeing as many of them will probably soon be applying for temporary or permanent work themselves.
