ICT Competition

Competition Brief

Design a poster with an ICT related theme.

There were so many fabulous entries that it was hard to pick the winner.

So, what were we looking for when we chose the winner?

What we were looking for:

An eye-catching design

A very clear sense of audience and purpose

Some originality of thought that made the poster just that little bit different

Something which the student had clearly made themselves and not a design where the student had just taken an image from the internet and overlaid with a bit of WordArt

A professional looking design that other teachers would be proud to display in their classroom

A relevant, informative and useful ICT message

Many of you submitted superb designs which could easily have won but you made one of the following mistakes:

What we were NOT looking for:

Spelling mistakes - proofread your work!

Images with copyright notices displayed across them - we can't publish those on the site

Pixellated images - think about what image format you choose and what it looks like when you enlarge it

Font over a busy background which made it hard to read

Too much font or font so small that you couldn't read the message from a poster

Too much use of WordArt!!

Lack of relevance to ICT - e.g. pictures of beach balls
