Data that you have collected yourself using methods such as interviews, questionnaires or observations

Indirect sources of data

Data that was collected by someone else and that you are now using for another reason

By-product of processing

Data that you collected and used for a particular reason. However, you then found another way that you could make use of that data. The data is used for a purpose different to the original intention.

Archived data

Data that is no longer in use is copied, stored away from the computer system and the original copy on the computer is removed.
