Many companies have a dedicated Personnel department, often called the HR department (Human Resources). Their duties include :-

Recruitment and Redundancy management

Personnel department are responsible for job vacancies and recruitment efforts. This part of the control system will help with

  • Highlighting internal job vacancies that existing staff can apply for
  • Running external recruitment campaigns and track their cost effectiveness
  • Planning and carrying out voluntary redundancy programs
  • Planning and carrying out compulsory redundancies, making sure the company follows all the legal requirements for doing so
